Roasted Chicken

Roasted my first chicken the other day. I've always done pan roasted chicken breasts, and I was put to the test of doing a whole bird. I did use this recipe from Ina Garten as I needed to follow a recipe. Ive used her other recipe for a rib roast last Xmas that turned out amazing, Ina has simple and tasty recipes to use. So now that I know the basics are to roasting a chicken I can now add my touches to it... I think next time instead of roasting potatoes Ill do a mash and use more fennel.
The skin was so crispy and delicious!


Its kinda nuts that a whole chicken can be cheaper then just buying parts. this was a 4lb chicken and it cost 5 bucks.
